Motorcyclist Chanel Garcia was injured in an accident in Huntington Beach last week, died in a hospital on Friday, June 4.
Police report that Garcia was riding a motorcycle south on Beach Boulevard, on the evening of May 31 when she was seriously injured in a crash with an SUV.
Christopher Johnston, 26, of Costa Mesa, was the SUV driver. Johnston remained at the scene and cooperated with police. He was ultimately arrested by police on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs.
The now fatal DUI crash is still currently under investigation.
