The accident took place on Saturday evening when emergency services from the Los Angeles County Fire Department were dispatched to the scene shortly after 9 p.m. The responders addressed the situation which involved a tour tram, a staple attraction for visitors seeking a behind-the-scenes look at the famed studio’s productions.
Details from the California Highway Patrol revealed that the crash happened as the tram was making a turn, causing the last car to strike a metal guardrail. The impact led to the car tilting, resulting in several passengers being thrown out of the vehicle.
Medical personnel assessed the situation and concluded that 15 individuals required hospitalization for injuries categorized as minor. Nonetheless, the highway patrol noted that there were also instances of moderate injuries among the passengers, though specific numbers were not disclosed.
