Huntington Beach police said that the explosion occurred at Huntington Beach Propane, 18961 Gothard St., in an area where metal shipping containers are rented out as storage units. When officers arrived, they found a woman who works at the business buried under rubble. She was taken to Orange County Global Medical Center in Santa Ana with critical burn injuries.
According to police, the explosion occurred in one of the storage units, and did not involve the propane business that is also at the site. The woman is one of two people who work as security guards at the facility.
