In a fatal collision on Friday afternoon, one individual lost their life and another sustained injuries following a hit-and-run incident in Van Nuys, Los Angeles. The accident occurred at approximately 2:09 p.m. at the 6900 block of Sepulveda Boulevard, local emergency services reported.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the incident involved two pedestrians who were struck by a truck. While one victim was pronounced dead at the scene, the second victim received immediate attention from emergency responders and was subsequently transported to a nearby hospital for further medical care.
In the aftermath of the crash, the truck driver involved did not stop and instead fled the location, leaving the scene before law enforcement arrived. Los Angeles Police Department Valley Traffic Division officers have taken charge of the investigation in a bid to apprehend the suspect responsible for this devastating event. As of now, the authorities have not released any description of the suspect or the vehicle involved.
