A thirty year old father from Huntington Beach, California was killed in a hit and run boating accident on Lake Havasu over the July Fourth weekend. He had been riding behind another boat in an inflatable chair when he fell off and was struck by the hit and run driver, who did not slow down or stop.

Eric Norris was a popular trainer at Anytime Fitness in Fountain Valley, where he taught Jujitsu. Norris was also the sole caregiver for both his seven year old son, Phoenix, and his eighty-eight year old grandmother. Norris’ family and friends have set up a memorial website at www.ericoctopusnorris.com where visitors can donate money to help cover Norris’ funeral costs and start a trust for Phoenix.

Investigators are looking for information on the hit and run boat driver who killed Norris. They say the boat is twenty-five feet long with a V-hull and enclosed bow. It is red with a white stripe.
