A crash involving an SUV, a minivan and an Orange County Transportation Authority bus sent three people to the hospital with injuries, according to a news report.
Huntington Beach police said that a black Ford Explorer SUV traveling west on Edinger Avenue ran a red light at the Graham Street intersection and hit a minivan. The Explorer then hit an OCTA bus that was stopped on Edinger.
The OCTA bus driver and one passenger were taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Explorer was taken to UCI Medical Center with serious injuries. A black Labrador retriever that was riding in the Explorer died at the scene.
Authorities investigating the accident said they did not believe alcohol was a factor in the accident.
